Mulmul Earth began with a simple question: what if we could hold onto the unhurried quality of a time before everything became instant?

We work with a small collective of block printing artisan families in Rajasthan — in the villages of Bagru and Sanganer, where this craft has been practiced for generations. These are families who wake before dawn to mix their dyes, who carve their blocks by hand, who measure their work not in units per hour but in the quiet satisfaction of something made well.

The fabric

Mulmul is one of the finest cotton fabrics known to Indian craft — woven so lightly it seems to float. Cool against skin, breathable through every season, and softer with every wash. It is the fabric of unhurried mornings and long afternoons. We chose it because it embodies everything Mulmul Earth stands for — beauty that comes from patience, not speed.

The print

Every piece we make is hand block printed. A carved teak block, dipped in natural dye, pressed firmly and evenly across the fabric — repeated hundreds of times to complete a single piece. The slight irregularities you find in our prints are not imperfections. They are the fingerprints of the artisan who made your piece, and the mark that distinguishes what we do from anything a machine could produce.

Why we exist

We live in a world that celebrates speed. Fast fashion, instant delivery, disposable everything. We believe there is another way — one that has always existed, in the hands of craftspeople who never stopped practicing it.
